Canadiens Provide Significant Injury Update on Defenseman Noah Dobson
The Montreal Canadiens surprised their fans by indirectly giving updates on Noah Dobson and Kaiden Guhle through waiver moves and their appearance in Brossard.
Canadiens fans had been worried for several days about the health status of Kaiden Guhle and Noah Dobson.
Yesterday, an organizational move caused a lot of buzz when the Habs placed Clurman and Del Gaizo on waivers, already hinting that the two regulars might not be as far from returning as some feared.
This morning in Brossard, things became even clearer.
Noah Dobson and Kaiden Guhle Back on the Ice With the Montreal Canadiens
Anthony Martineau from TVA Sports shared footage showing Dobson and Guhle skating in regular jerseys, a sign that they are healthy enough to participate in unrestricted exercises.
"Noah Dobson and Kaiden Guhle are on the ice this morning in Brossard in a regular jersey,"- he wrote.
Even more reassuring, Martineau added in another post:
"And Dobson looks in shape!"
For now, everything indicates that the Canadiens want to test their progress before officially confirming their availability for the season opener.
According to Nicolas Cloutier, Adam Engstrom will logically start in Laval, showing that Montreal is preparing to reintegrate Guhle and Dobson quickly.
Not surprisingly, in my opinion, I'm very happy to see this. It's never reassuring to see two key defensemen sidelined before the season even begins.
I therefore think the return of both defenders could stabilize a defensive corps that has often been criticized for its lack of consistency.
