"British Columbia's hockey community has grown very deep and rich, and we therefore have another wonderfully deserving class.
Our inductees hail from Sicamous, Anahim Lake, Abbotsford, Vernon, and Fort St. John. It's truly a provincial group with fantastic stories of major contributions to the game.
Weber, selected 49th overall by the Nashville Predators in the 2003 NHL Draft, is one of hockey's top versatile defensemen.
He played his minor hockey and began his junior career in his hometown of Sicamous, joining the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL at age 16 in 2001-2002, where he played three seasons and won the Memorial Cup during the 2003-2004 season.
Among his many achievements, Weber received the Mark Messier Leadership Award in 2015-16 and has accumulated 589 points in the NHL regular season with the Predators and Montreal Canadiens over 1,038 career games.
He added 42 points in 97 Stanley Cup playoff games, helping the Canadiens reach the Stanley Cup Final.
In 2015, Carey Price achieved something not done since Dominik Hasek in 1998 - he won the Hart Trophy, Vezina Trophy, and Ted Lindsay Award, in addition to sharing the William H. Jennings Trophy with Corey Crawford of the Chicago Blackhawks.
Price was inspired by Patrick Roy and in 2018, he surpassed the legendary Hab for second place in Canadiens history with his 290th win in a 3-0 shutout against the Boston Bruins.
Price has earned 361 wins and 261 losses in 712 NHL regular-season games, with an additional 43 wins in 92 Stanley Cup playoff games. He led the Canadiens to the Stanley Cup Final in the 2020-21 season alongside Weber."
