As we reported yesterday, the Finnish forward underwent surgery for a sports hernia and will be sidelined for three to four months.
Even though Laine was off to a rough start this season, this news hit Martin St-Louis and the entire Montreal Canadiens team hard, since Laine was an important part of the power play.
The team confirmed the procedure on Saturday, just a few hours before yesterday afternoon's game against the Vancouver Canucks.
