The Canadiens confirmed earlier today that Laine will miss the next 3-4 months after undergoing surgery.
"Forward Patrik Laine underwent surgery to repair a core muscle injury. The procedure was performed by Dr. Mark Zoland at Lennox Hill Hospital in New York. Laine's recovery period is estimated to be three to four months."

However, Laine and his wife, Jordan Leigh, have just been nominated for the title of Sports Personality of the Year by the Montreal Sports Council.
