Canadiens Prospect Alexander Zharovsky Matches Ivan Demidov's Early Numbers in the KHL
At just 18 years old, Alexander Zharovsky is starting to make a lot of noise in the KHL, where he continues to deliver incredible performances.
This time, the young Salavat Yulaev UFA prospect already has 9 points in 11 games - an almost identical start to that of none other than Ivan Demidov during his rookie season last year.
According to Marco D'Amico, Zharovsky played over 17 minutes in the last game, a very clear sign that his coaches trust him despite his young age.

A Start That Reminds Many of Ivan Demidov
In a post on X, the Russian league compared Zharovsky's early performances to those of Demidov, who was named Rookie of the Year in 2025.
The stats are almost identical, with similar averages in both ice time and points after ten games.

What's most impressive is his consistency.
Zharovsky isn't just benefitting from a good start to the season - he's already establishing himself as a complete player, capable of creating scoring chances every night.
Nicolas Cloutier from TVA Sports also shared a very interesting piece of information:
