The Montreal Canadiens have had their share of problematic players over the years, and former defenseman Hal Gill spoke about a former teammate on a podcast.
It is known that the Canadiens have acquired some promising players who ended up disappointing over the years.
A recent example is forward Alex Galchenyuk, who had exceptional potential but never managed to establish himself in the NHL.
Going back a bit further, the Kostitsyn brothers also went through several difficult moments in Montreal, and former defenseman Hal Gill made a revelation about one of the two brothers.

To start, former Montreal Canadiens player Hal Gill shared several things about Sergei Kostitsyn during his highly noted appearance on the Spittin Chiclets podcast.
"He was a horrible person in Montreal.

During the Basu & Godin Notebook podcast, Marc-Antoine Godin also made another revelation.
In the latest episode of the Basu & Godin Notebook, they share stories about the Habs from the late 2000s-early 2010s. Godin talks about the time the Kostitsyn brothers were linked to a shady drug dealer who had been arrested at the time.
So Godin asked Andrei Kostitsyn after a game if he personally knew this guy known for hanging out with Habs players & "facilitating them with alcohol & women."
