The Montreal Canadiens have had several NHL stars in their organization over the past few years, but no one has had the chance to see their jersey retired.

The Canadiens have had many players who left their mark on the team.
He thrilled fans for many years, and one might wonder if his jersey will one day be retired.
Not long ago, Geoff Molson spoke at a luncheon organized by the Montreal Canadiens Children's Foundation, and according to Benoit Rioux of the Journal de Montreal, the owner was asked about the potential retirement-or not-of Carey Price's jersey.

His response?

"At the moment, we're not talking about that.

We're focused on the current team.

Maybe it'll happen one day, but for now, no."

- Geoff Molson
However, on BPM Sports Radio, a former member of the organization has revealed which two players he believes will be the next to have their jerseys retired.

Ivan Demidov and Lane Hutson Could Have Their Jerseys Retired

On BPM Sports, former editor-in-chief Carl Lavigne named the two players he believes have the best chances of seeing their jerseys hanging in the rafters of the Bell Centre.
Who from the current Montreal Canadiens roster will (or won't) see their name in the rafters of the Bell Centre?

The one nicknamed the Canadiens' historian, Carl Lavigne, has spoken!

"If I had to bet my house, I'd choose Lane Hutson and Ivan Demidov to be up in the Bell Centre rafters."

-Carl Lavigne
These choices are rather surprising, especially since Ivan Demidov has not yet had much opportunity to play in the NHL, unlike Nick Suzuki, who plays excellent hockey as captain.
As for the defenseman, if Lane Hutson enjoys a career similar to his first season with the Montreal Canadiens, he could definitely see his jersey retired.
That said, nothing is guaranteed for him-he will need to play many years with the team and leave his mark on its history in his own way.
In the end, if this does happen, it will only be many years from now, and a lot can happen between now and then.
