Michael Pezzetta, now a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs, failed to establish himself in the role he had hoped for.
The energetic player has always accepted his role without complaint, but it seems that this time, he didn't measure up..
Cayden Primeau and Michael Pezzetta on the Waiver Market
Pezzetta may interest a team looking for a physical player, but his two-year contract could deter some clubs.
As for Cayden Primeau, it's another disappointment. The American goaltender, now with the Carolina Hurricanes, finds himself on waivers despite a strong season last year in the American Hockey League, where he set a wins record.

I also think Primeau's situation highlights just how narrow the margin is for young goaltenders. I hope a team claims him and gives him a full-time chance in the NHL.
I'm really looking forward to seeing if either of the two players will be claimed in the coming hours.
