In my opinion, what's surprising is that Carolina decided to place Primeau on waivers the same day they claimed Brandon Bussi, a 25-year-old goaltender from Florida.
I also think Primeau's situation highlights just how narrow the margin is for young goaltenders. I hope a team claims him and gives him a full-time chance in the NHL.
I'm really looking forward to seeing if either of the two players will be claimed in the coming hours.
