We know that the GM would greatly like to evaluate all the prospects he has on hand, but the NHL's maximum of 50 contracts plays against him. It will be impossible for him to have all these players under contract and available at the same time.
He will have a fine NHL career as a third-pair defenseman, but in Montreal, he is no longer part of the plans, for a good reason.
It will be interesting to see what his value is on the trade market, given that he was originally a third-round pick. Personally, I don't expect a return much better than his draft position, but if Kent Hughes can add depth to the offense, it's a win for the Canadiens.
