Two cousins reunited for the Canadiens by Kent Hughes?
On Saturday, Kent Hughes and the Canadiens announced the signing of Oliver Kapanen.
This is excellent news, as he finished last season strongly and performed very well in the World Championship.
His cousin, Kasperi Kapanen, might also join the Canadiens.
The St. Louis Blues have confirmed that they will let him enter the free-agent market.
Kasperi just finished a modest contract worth $3.2 million per year, and he is expected to sign at a discount and for a short term.
This is an opportunity for Hughes to sign him and see what he has to offer.
Let's remember that Kasperi stands out for his explosive skating, being one of the fastest skaters in the NHL.
