Xhekaj Brothers Turning Heads Early at Canadiens Training Camp

Year after year, each Montreal Canadiens training camp brings its share of surprises and favorites. Fans and (especially) journalists examine the players from every angle, looking for the one who will carve out a spot in the lineup.
On days 1 and 2 of camp, the spotlight was on two well-known brothers, capable of standing out as much for their intensity as for their physical style.
Journalist Anthony Martineau even identified Florian and Arber Xhekaj among his four favorites of the day, alongside Alex Newhook and Joe Veleno.
A sign that the two brothers are leaving no one indifferent.

Florian Xhekaj is drawing more and more attention. After scoring 25 goals with the Laval Rocket last season, he is establishing himself as a credible option for the Canadiens' fourth line.
His toughness, combined with a good offensive touch, makes him a hard player to overlook. As Pascal Vincent once said:
"We know the last name and we know what he can do on the ice, which is obvious in terms of toughness.. But he's a hockey player."
Arber Xhekaj, for his part, continues to embody the role of the defenseman who doesn't hesitate to protect his teammates. His physical presence has become a symbol in Montreal, and his reputation as a tough guy fits perfectly with the team's identity.
Jeff Gorton even admitted that the younger brother, Florian, had also caught his eye:
"It's certainly encouraging to see Flo take another step. He's added muscle. We're excited about his progress."
I believe that if the two brothers end up in the same lineup this season, it could give the Canadiens a unique physical dimension, while also providing the fans with an explosive duo to follow closely.
