Macklin Celebrini visited Montreal last week

The one expected by experts to hear his name called at the very top of the 2024 NHL Draft, Macklin Celebrini, was spotted at the Bell Centre in Montreal earlier this week.

As the top North American prospect on the NHL Central Scouting Bureau's list, Macklin Celebrini is on everyone's radar. The 17-year-old forward has played on the same team as a certain Lane Hutson.

While the draft is an imperfect science, the likelihood of Celebrini slipping to the second spot is slim. The forward for the Boston University Terriers amassed an impressive total of 32 goals and 32 assists for 64 points in just 38 games this season in the NCAA.

We'll have to wait for the NHL lottery to determine the draft order for the upcoming amateur draft. His father recently revealed they already have a plan in place if he's drafted by the Bay Area team.
