The Montreal Canadiens are back home as of yesterday after a long Western road trip, and the team will resume practice this morning.
According to journalist Priyanta Emrith, a Canadiens practice is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. in Brossard this Thursday morning, even though the team traveled yesterday.
I'm certain that head coach Martin St-Louis will use this session to prepare his group for Saturday's upcoming game against the Ottawa Senators at the Bell Centre.
The Canadiens Sit Atop the NHL Standings
For those who haven't heard yet, this next part will make you smile...
With a record of 8 wins and 3 losses, the Habs currently sit first in the Atlantic Division - tied in points for the top spot in both the Eastern Conference and the overall NHL standings.
"Tell the world we're coming home... tied for first in the NHL"

I have to say, it's a scenario few analysts would have predicted at this point in the season.
Thursday morning's practice in Brossard will therefore be closely watched, as it could give us a hint at the next lineup adjustments.
