Trade rumors around the Montreal Canadiens are heating up once again, and this time it's the Calgary Flames who are said to be in active mode.

Some observers believe that the Habs' depth could attract offers, especially with the recent developments surrounding certain key players like Florian Xhekaj.
This isn't the first time rival teams have closely monitored the Canadiens' center line. With Nick Suzuki firmly established, Kirby Dach working on a strong comeback, and young prospects making progress, Montreal has options that spark interest across the league.

A Genuine Interest Fueling the Rumor Mill

According to a detailed article published on DansLesCoulisses, Calgary would like to take advantage of the situation to fill its pressing need for a reliable center.
"The Flames are actively trying to find a solution, and the Canadiens are among the options being considered," the recent discussions note.

It's no surprise, as Kent Hughes has always said he's ready to listen to offers if they could help the Habs' rebuild.
The Flames, in search of a player who can stabilize their lineup, are reportedly paying close attention to the availability of Montreal's centers.
I must admit I'm not a fan of the idea of trading a quality player of Dach's caliber, but of course, it always depends on the potential return!
For fans, this rumor adds a little spice to the offseason, but I don't really believe it.
A story to watch, but I'll sleep just fine tonight regardless..
