Over the past few weeks, there have been several rumors regarding the possibility of seeing Corey Perry make a comeback with the Canadiens.

Let's not forget that the veteran has often stated that he loved his time in Montreal and that he often keeps in touch with his former teammates.

Having played over 1,200 games in the NHL, there's no doubt that Perry could be an excellent mentor for the team's young players and his experience would be a major asset to the organization.

In fact, Frank Seravalli suggested that the forward will probably sign a one-year agreement worth $850,000 this summer.

At that price, Kent Hughes simply cannot rule out the possibility of bringing him back in the Tricolore uniform, especially considering he scored five points in six playoff games.

Furthermore, in his blog, 32 Thoughts, Elliotte Friedman confirmed that Corey Perry should test the free agent market on July 1, and a return to the Tampa Bay Lightning is highly unlikely.

After two years, all indications are that Corey Perry and the Lightning are heading for a divorce.

Do you believe the Canadiens should try to bring Corey Perry back to Montreal?
