Saturday night, December 23rd, the NHL witnessed not just one but two Michigan goals. It's truly extraordinary, as it's a feat we rarely see, and it was achieved by both Connor Bedard and Trevor Zegras.
While the young Bedard surprised us with such a move, we are less surprised with Zegras, as we knew he was capable of it. However, what makes his goal truly spectacular is that he had made a promise to score such a goal.
Indeed, Montreal-native journalist Aly Lozoff asked him in a pre-game interview to score a Michigan goal for Christmas. Zegras promised her that he would try to do it, and we know the rest.
