Before Christian Dvorak's return to the Bell Centre, Juraj Slafkovsky and Cole Caufield had some kind words for their former teammate.

Tonight, the reunion promises to be a special one for some.
Christian Dvorak, now with the Philadelphia Flyers, will step onto the Bell Centre ice for the first time since leaving the Montreal Canadiens.
And even though, in theory, emotions don't have a place in a regular season game, it's clear that several Habs players still hold great respect and genuine affection for him.

Juraj Slafkovsky and Cole Caufield talk about Christian Dvorak's return to Montreal

As journalist Priyanta Emrith reported, Juraj Slafkovsky didn't hide his happiness about seeing his former teammate again.
"Juraj Slafkovsky on seeing former team-mate Christian Dvorak again: "It's fun for sure, he's a good friend but tonight we're going to be enemies for a little while."

And Cole Caufield made a point of reminding everyone not to forget the human side of Dvorak's departure.
"Yes and no; for the rent yes and for the good times, we definitely miss those. It's always good to see him, we stay in touch pretty often so that's good."

These words remind us just how appreciated Dvorak was in the Canadiens' locker room.
According to Guillaume Lefrançois (La Presse), Martin St-Louis has always trusted Christian Dvorak. He saw him as a reliable, well-rounded player, even if his stats never really took off in Montreal.
When you listen to his former teammates talk about him, it quickly becomes clear that it goes beyond the numbers.
Dvorak left at a difficult time, but he made a strong impression. He was very well liked.
Tonight, no matter the score, there will be a touch of nostalgia in the Bell Centre air.
And when you see the smiles on Slafkovsky and Caufield during warmups, you realize that the respect never left.
