Full-blown rant by journalist on the Montreal Canadiens
Michel Bergeron is not known for mincing his words, and he certainly didn't make an exception this time. The analyst and former coach really doesn't like what he's seeing from the Montreal Canadiens this season.
For him, there is no progress because too many issues linger. There's no identity, no punishment for those who aren't doing the job, in short, he had a lot to say.
"What is the identity of the Canadiens?" he questioned. "We have players... I think of (Josh) Anderson, among others, who continues to play on the power play. Zero goals! Zero goals since the beginning of the season!"
"We haven't solved the infamous 'three's a crowd' dilemma yet. (Cayden) Primeau, we have nothing to blame him for. (Samuel) Montembeault and (Jake) Allen either. But now, a decision has to be made! It can't go on."
"Our best sniper is Caufield, right? He's playing with the team's third center! I would like to be positive and try to understand what the coaches want, but I have a hard time following the organization's process."
- Michel Bergeron
It's hard not to agree with him. Seeing a goalie absent for two games after a very good match doesn't make sense, just like seeing Anderson on the power play when he hasn't scored all year.
Moreover, many people would agree that Caufield with Dvorak doesn't make sense. We trust Martin St-Louis, but this decision certainly hides something.
