After falling to the Maple Leafs in the opening game, the Montreal Canadiens bounced back brilliantly with a 5-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings, marking their first win of the season.
In the first period, the Trois-Rivières forward took advantage of a superb pass from
Brendan Gallagher to skate in alone and beat
John Gibson with a perfect shot in the upper part of the net.

A new sequence reignites the debate: Bolduc did indeed touch the puck
But the story doesn't end there.
In the middle of the second period, Bolduc seemed to have deflected a shot from
Alexandre Carrier to make the score 4-1.
The NHL initially credited the goal to Bolduc, before eventually removing it after review and attributing it to Carrier.
However, a new video sequence published this morning is reigniting the debate.
From a new angle, you can clearly see the puck slightly deflecting toward the net as Bolduc's stick passes in front.
In my opinion, his reaction actually says a lot. It really looks like the reaction of a guy who touched the puck.
It remains to be seen if the league will change its decision (once again) and give the goal to Bolduc. That would make it 3 goals in two games for him!
One thing is certain: Bolduc is quickly becoming a fan favorite in Montreal.
