Ahead of tomorrow's game, the Chicago Blackhawks appear to have lost an important player Thursday night against the Boston Bruins.

Indeed, forward Jason Dickinson left the game after taking a hard hit from the sturdy Tanner Jeannot and never returned to play.
The team quickly confirmed that Dickinson would not be returning to the game, after he appeared to injure his right shoulder on the play.
"Jason Dickinson will not return to tonight's game."

A worrying scene for Hawks fans, especially on the eve of the matchup against the Montreal Canadiens, scheduled for Saturday night in Chicago.
Here's the sequence showing his injury:

An Absence That Could Be Significant Ahead of the Canadiens' Visit

Dickinson is a true leader for Chicago.
His defensive play, intensity, and presence on the penalty kill make him a central piece of the young team.
It's also worth noting that Dickinson was already slowed by two injuries last season. He suffered an ankle sprain and a fractured wrist, limiting him to 59 games.
As the Canadiens arrive full of confidence after their 5-1 win in Detroit, the loss of Dickinson could make Saturday night's task easier for Martin St-Louis' men.
All signs indicate that Samuel Montembeault will get the start in goal for the Canadiens on Saturday night.
After giving way to Jakub Dobes against the Red Wings, Montembeault will return between the pipes to try to secure the team's second win of the season.
More details to come.
