A future star with the Canadiens in exchange for Arber Xhekaj?
The rumors surrounding Arber Xhekaj are quite numerous given the interest other teams have in him, but Kent Hughes has clearly mentioned that it would take an offer he couldn't refuse.
On BPM Sports, Georges Laraque and Stéphane Gonzalez made a proposal, and I must admit that Kent Hughes would have a hard time refusing it.

Yaroslav Askarov is probably the next star goaltender of the NHL. He has outstanding statistics in the American Hockey League and is ready to take on a bigger role.
The Predators already have one of the best goaltenders in the league in Juuse Saros, but they just lost Ryan McDonagh in a trade with the Lightning and have always had strong defensemen.
Adding Arber Xhekaj to their defensive lineup would be quite welcome. Additionally, they would have the Jets' first-round pick, 26th overall.
I love Arber Xhekaj as well as Samuel Montembeault and Cayden Primeau. However, the only one who has the potential to become as good as Askarov one day is Jacob Fowler, and he is still very far from the NHL.
It would be surprising for Kent Hughes to make such a trade, but if he does, you can be certain that the future in the net would be secure.
