A Special Night Awaits: Canadiens Set for an Emotional Home Opener at the Bell Centre
The big night is approaching at the Bell Centre, as on Tuesday, Montreal Canadiens fans will finally be able to welcome their team for the first home game of the season.
Everything indicates that the evening will be as festive as it will be emotional.
"Fix You" by Coldplay.. Michel Lacroix shouting "Let's welcome our Canadiens!"... Less than 24 hours!
As reported by Marco D'Amico, the pre-game ceremony will begin exceptionally at 6:50 p.m., ten minutes earlier than usual. The reason?
A special tribute to Ken Dryden, a legend of the 1970s and an iconic figure of the organization.
The organization wants to take this opportunity to highlight Ken Dryden's impact on the club's history - he led the Habs to six Stanley Cups during his career. Dryden sadly passed away at the age of 78 after a courageous battle with cancer.
But that won't be the only surprise of the evening.
A completely reimagined player presentation
According to D'Amico, the Canadiens' player introductions will look like nothing we've seen before.

On the ice, the Canadiens will face the Seattle Kraken around 7 p.m.
