A Stanley Cup champion is leaving the Canadiens organization
With all the young players in the Canadiens organization, having a Stanley Cup champion is a rare commodity.
In fact, David Savard and Alex Newhook are the only ones who have lifted the precious trophy with the Canadiens, but there was another with the Rocket.
Mitchell Stephens is leaving the organization to join the KHL.

This is a significant loss for the organization, as Stephens was very important in Laval and was even called up by the Canadiens.
A Stanley Cup winner in 2020, Stephens played 23 games with the Canadiens this season.
Kent Hughes preferred to recall him over Lias Andersson and several others, which shows how highly the organization thought of him.
Good luck with the rest of your career, Mitchell!
