All Signs Point to a Successful Trade for Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens
Since his arrival with the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes has successfully completed several trades, and it's fair to say he's done well in that regard.
But now the Canadiens' general manager might have another surprise in store for us this August.
It's clear that the Montreal Canadiens have had a successful offseason with several solid acquisitions.
When looking at the additions of Noah Dobson, Zachary Bolduc, Joe Veleno, and Samuel Blais, the team is in a much better position than it was last year.
Kent Hughes still has the goal of finding a second-line center, and we know that a few names have surfaced in the rumor mill over the past few weeks.
However, everything seems to be lining up for Canadiens management to surprise us once again.
Could the Montreal Canadiens Make Another Acquisition in August?
In August 2023, the Canadiens' management acquired forward Sean Monahan.
That trade turned out to be very beneficial for the organization, as the team also received a first-round pick that was later used in the deal to bring Noah Dobson to Montreal.
One year later, Kent Hughes acquired Patrik Laine in another surprise trade.
That said, Kent Hughes could make another similar move this August.
