Analyst Details the One Change That Could Make Ivan Demidov Even More Dangerous
Ivan Demidov has impressed early this season with the Montreal Canadiens, but some believe he could reach another level if he became a little more "selfish."
And among his three main takeaways, one message clearly stands out for Demidov.
According to him, Demidov needs to shoot more and think a little more about himself when it's time to attack.
Ivan Demidov Needs to Shoot More Often, According to Mitch Gallo
In his post shared on X, Mitch Gallo doesn't hide his admiration for the young player's talent, but he believes Demidov could be even better with a few adjustments.
Indeed, he thinks that to become a true offensive threat, Demidov needs to take greater advantage of his shooting opportunities.
"Ivan Demidov Needs to Be More Selfish.
Ivan Demidov has been a revelation - one of Montreal's most dynamic offensive players through the early part of the season. But even elite young talents have areas to refine. For Demidov, it's simple: he needs to shoot more."

I agree with that. It's similar to what's been said about
Lane Hutson since the start of the season.
I really think the young forward shows remarkable hockey IQ, but at times he seems too respectful toward his teammates. No one will fault him for putting more pucks on net!
And yet, his shots have already proven he can beat any goaltender.
That said, there's no need to worry - I truly believe Demidov will find that balance over time.
I think the day he decides to shoot with less hesitation, he'll become not only an excellent playmaker (which he already is) but also a true elite scorer in this league!
