Big statement from Kent Hughes about a potential contract buyout

It must be admitted, there are some bad contracts that were awarded by the previous administration and are hurting the Habs. Kent Hughes has decisions to make.
While Armia's end of the season calmed things down, it's not the case for Gally and even less so for Anderson. Number 11 bounced back this year with 16 goals, but it's clearly insufficient given his salary.
Josh had the worst season of his career. He still has three seasons left on his $5.5 million per year contract, and he didn't deliver.
Could Kent Hughes be tempted to buy one or two out? His response is quite clear.
"Kent Hughes responds clearly 'No' when asked if we can expect contract buyouts this summer." - Patrick Friolet
So, unless there's a surprise trade, Gally and Josh will be in uniform for the next season.
It must be acknowledged that Kent Hughes' decision is understandable. The Habs will have $18 million in cap space for next season with Xhekaj, Barron, and Ylonen to sign.
So, there's no reason for Hughes to rush things and get into trouble for years to come because of buyouts.
