Nick Suzuki's name keeps coming up as one of the great stories for today's Canadiens - his point streak, growing game after game, proves why he's their leader.

We know Suzuki's leadership is often praised.
People talk a lot about his composure, vision, and consistency.
But what he's doing right now goes beyond just being a model captain.
He's writing an important chapter in the recent history of the NHL's most storied franchise.
"Nick Suzuki brought the hosts within one and extended his career-high point streak to a dozen games, the longest by a Canadiens player in more than 30 years."

- NHLPR

A milestone not reached in over 30 years

"Nick Suzuki extended his point streak to 12 games and became the first Canadiens player with a run of that length since Pierre Turgeon
(13 GP from April 5-29, 1995)."

- NHLPR

Since the second game of the season - that's 12 games now - Suzuki has found a way to get on the scoresheet every time.
It's simply become a habit, almost like breathing in his game.
And this consistency didn't happen by chance.
It reflects a player approaching his prime - but more importantly, it's the first time in his career that he's had such strong support around him.
You have to go back to Pierre Turgeon, in the spring of 1995, to find the last Canadiens player to put together such a streak.
To give you an idea, I wasn't even born yet.
The most surprising thing about Suzuki is that he's not trying to impress anyone.
He's so calm that we often end up being more nervous than he is.
And that calmness is starting to rub off on the team.
Multi-goal comebacks, like in Tuesday night's game, are becoming more and more frequent.
The veterans have deep respect for their captain and his quiet leadership style.
He leads by example, both on and off the ice.
Personally, I believe Suzuki is reaching a decisive turning point in his career.
