We know that the organization has a hard time being transparent regarding injuries, both in terms of nature and duration. On the other hand, given the number of injuries in recent years, it's difficult to blame them.
For Kaiden Guhle, we haven't had a return date announced by the Canadiens, but he was on the ice in Brossard on Thursday morning, skating alone, which is encouraging.
The Anaheim Ducks are much more transparent than the Canadiens, and they just gave a good idea of when Kaiden Guhle might return to action, indirectly.
Their goalie John Gibson just underwent exactly the same operation and will miss three to six weeks of activity.
Since Kaiden has already missed a week, he should return at best three weeks after his surgery, which puts it around October 11.
We will see if he can return in time for the season opener on October 9, but one thing seems clear: he probably won't play during training camp.
Let's hope that injuries and/or health issues ease up on the Canadiens players this year. It would be nice to have a complete team once in a while!
