Former Canadien Reveals Who He'd Put as 2nd Line Center With Demidov and Laine

The Montreal Canadiens' training camp is in full swing, and one of the most frequently asked questions about the lineup is regarding the 2nd center position.
During an appearance on BPM Sports, former defenseman Gilbert Delorme hinted that the Canadiens' second center might not be who fans expect.
According to him, a young Quebec player may get the chance to try out a new position - and could very well stay there longer than people think.
The Montreal Canadiens are trying Zachary Bolduc at center with Patrik Laine and Ivan Demidov
In his comments, Delorme was clear:
"On offense, the first line will be Suzuki, Caufield, and Slafkovsky.
But the second line - get ready for this:
Patrik Laine on the left, Zachary Bolduc at center, and Ivan Demidov on the right. Bolduc has practiced at center, and honestly, he's just as good as Kirby Dach in that position. I'll say it outright: Kirby Dach is not a real center."

I have to admit, I was surprised by this statement, but I'm definitely intrigued.
It's no secret that Dach has often been injured since joining Montreal, and he could be moved to the wing, which would open the door for Bolduc to establish himself at the heart of the second line.
It would be a bold choice that would show the organization is looking to maximize everyone's talent - even if it means shaking up the hierarchy.
Personally, I believe this experiment is worth trying, because the Canadiens have too often lacked boldness in how they manage their lines. I also think Bolduc is full of talent, and the idea of seeing him with skilled players like Demidov and Laine is incredible!
