Ivan Demidov Already Settling Into Montreal With Humor and Love for Food
In recent days, the Canadiens' camp has been at the center of all media conversations. Between Kirby Dach's return, Patrik Laine's statements, and the standout performances of several young players, fans already have plenty to talk about.
But beyond the ice, some lighthearted moments also remind us that the newcomers are quickly adapting to the Montreal reality.
That's exactly what happened during an interview with the always-funny Kevin Raphaël.
Ivan Demidov already admits his weakness for poutine in Montreal
Asked by Raphaël what he appreciated most about Montreal, Ivan Demidov didn't hesitate for a second.
With a big smile, the young Russian simply said:
A response that made the audience laugh and, more importantly, showed that the player is already starting to find his footing in a completely new environment.
At just 19 years old, Demidov must not only adapt to a new country and a new language, but also to the intensity of the Montreal market. I think he's doing well, but it's clear this can't be easy at all.
I find this kind of small moment very revealing. Behind the enormous pressure surrounding Demidov, there's also a young man discovering a new culture and opening up to his teammates and the fans.
Seeing him smile and talk about poutine, you can just feel that Ivan Demidov is already starting to feel at home in Montreal-and that's great to see.
If I have one small suggestion for Demidov, it's that he should also try Montreal's famous smoked meat!
