It is now confirmed: the young Russian sensation Ivan Demidov will play a game tonight in Montreal.

Plus, there is good news for hockey fans since the game is open to the public.
Ivan Demidov is preparing to start his very first NHL season next October, and according to most experts, he is the frontrunner to win the Calder Trophy, awarded to the rookie of the year, whose most recent winner is his compatriot Lane Hutson.
According to projections from the site Daily Faceoff, the forward scould play alongside Zachary Bolduc on the second line. Currently, they place Kirby Dach with them, but there are some questions regarding the latter's health status.
Captain Nick Suzuki will lead the offensive charge with his close friend Cole Caufield. Slovak Juraj Slafkovsky will be with them, and the latter has been working very hard in training this summer. The shots of the big number 20 now seem much more powerful and accurate.
Patrik Laine is determined to have a huge season in 2025-26 and even sent a clear message to his critics by suggesting not to bet against him. Still according to Daily Faceoff, Laine would be alongside Alex Newhook and Oliver Kapanen.
The Canadiens veterans would be together on the fourth line, made up of Josh Anderson, Brendan Gallagher, and Jake Evans.
