Since being selected by the Tricolore with the very first pick of the 2022 Draft, Juraj Slafkovsky has always worked very hard in training to continue his progression.

The Slovak has never shown a bad attitude and is very appreciated by his teammates. While some first overall picks can sometimes become arrogant upon arriving in the NHL, that is not the case with Slafkovsky.

This summer, he is spending a lot of time on the ice to improve certain aspects of his game, and his shot seems not only more powerful, but also more accurate.

At only 21 years old, number 20 is well aware of what he can bring to his team. In 2024-25, he finished with 18 goals and 51 points. Since his debut in the big league, he has recorded 42 goals and 111 points in 200 games.

While some critics constantly find reasons to target Juraj Slafkovsky, one certainly cannot say that the left winger has been a disappointment so far, and he is generally well appreciated by Canadiens fans.

The number one choice of Montreal fans at the 2022 Draft was Shane Wright, who has collected 51 points in 94 NHL games so far with the Seattle Kraken.

In a new interview with TVA Sports, Slafkovsky openly admits that he is looking forward to the start of the next season. Then, he reveals that his team's objective is very clear: they not only want to make the playoffs, but they want to go deep in the playoffs. We love it!
