Kent Hughes and the Canadiens acquire a 120 points forward
As the Canadiens are looking to improve their attack, Kent Hughes has just acquired a forward with 120 points.
At least that's what Sebastian High mentions, comparing his skills to those of NHL greats Nikita Kucherov and Pavel Datsyuk.
"Demidov has the upside of a 120+ point guy if he hits his upside. Shades of Kucherov and Datsyuk.
He's been locked at #2 for me since last July and I never debated anyone else in that slot for even a second. He's fantastic."
This is a major statement, and High is far from the only one who thinks so.
This is where we see that NHL teams still have reservations about Russian players, otherwise he would never have slipped to the 5th overall pick.
According to many, Demidov could even be the best forward in the entire draft class, ahead of Celebrini.
He really has the potential to become the best player the Canadiens have had in a long time. Kent Hughes and the management have reason to be very satisfied with this selection and the 21st pick of Hage as well.
