Kent Hughes has made a big move with a player better than Suzuki

We all agree that for the past few seasons, the best player on the Canadiens has been Nick Suzuki. However, Kent Hughes believes he has acquired a better player.

Indeed, in a recent interview with Frank Seravalli, Kent Hughes didn't hide the fact that the best player in training camp was Kirby Dach. He even emphasized that Dach was better than Nick Suzuki.




The Canadiens' GM went even further:


Obviously, he was referring to Kirby Dach. Kent Hughes sees him as a better player than the captain. It's certain that Kirby was really in his zone before his injury. In camp and in the game and a half he played, he was very dominant.

Dach therefore represents the Canadiens' hidden card for the upcoming season. If he returns healthy and in great shape and avoids injury, the Canadiens will have a much better team.
