Montreal Canadiens Trade: The next to leave the ship could very well be forward Tanner Pearson, according to Pierre LeBrun

Kent Hughes has his work cut out to bring a winning team back to Montreal or simply a team aspiring to make the playoffs.
It's been three seasons now that the Canadiens have been languishing at the bottom of the standings, and one of the issues is the contracts of veterans who are no longer producing.
A two-time Stanley Cup winner with the Kings, Pearson could truly help a playoff-contending team in need of depth and leadership.
According to Pierre LeBrun, although the forward may not be at the top of other teams' lists, he still finds interest.
The veteran wouldn't cost much to acquire, and even if the offer is minimal, Kent Hughes has no reason to refuse to trade him. Pearson won't be returning to Montreal this summer, and he isn't an asset in the team's current situation.
Therefore, it's expected that he will be traded for minimal return.
