Worrying Update on the Health of Top Montreal Canadiens Prospect Alexander Zharovsky
After a week of contradictory information about him, the latest news regarding Montreal Canadiens forward prospect Alexander Zharovsky is not reassuring.
There was even talk that the Russian prospect would return to the lineup for Ufa Salavat Yulayev in the KHL this weekend.
Unfortunately, that's not the case - and according to his coach, he's not even close to returning to play.
Coach and former NHL player Viktor Kozlov says Canadiens prospect Alexander Zharovsky is nowhere near a return to play
As is often the case with prospects playing in the KHL, a league cut off from much of the hockey world, information about Zharovsky can be hard to come by.
But in the case of the injury suffered by the forward drafted by the Canadiens just a few weeks ago, we finally have official information we can rely on, as it comes directly from his own coach, Viktor Kozlov.
"Zharovsky won't be in the next game either. In fact, he's not even close (to returning to play)."
- Viktor Kozlov, in a post-game press conference
This is very disappointing news for Canadiens fans who were excited about the team's new Russian sensation, who had also delivered a very promising training camp.
