Montreal Canadiens prospect Alexander Zharovsky will miss the Salavat Yulaev Ufa season opener on Saturday in the KHL due to an injury.

The 18-year-old player is expected to be out for several games before returning to action. During the preseason games, Zharovsky, who stands 6 feet 1 inch and weighs 163 pounds, had stood out with a goal and an assist, showing flashes of his talent.
Last season, in the MHL (Russian junior league), he shone with 24 goals and 26 assists for a total of 50 points in 45 games.
He also played seven playoff games in the KHL with the big club, leaving a positive impression. This injury is a setback for the Canadiens' 2025 second-round steal, but his potential remains undeniable.
