Transaction completed during the game between the Penguins and the Montreal Canadiens: Pittsburgh and Columbus are involved
Towards the end of the first period, a trade was announced between the Penguins and the Blue Jackets. While his team hosted the Canadiens, Kyle Dubas made a move.
Indeed, he traded one of the Nylander brothers, who had been with William and the Maple Leafs for several years. It's finally Alex who is heading to Columbus, in exchange for Emil Bemstrom.
"The Blue Jackets have traded Emil Bemstrom to Pittsburgh for Alex Nylander and a conditional sixth-round pick, the club has announced.
First move under interim GM John Davidson"
Bemstrom is on fire these days, with 10 goals in his last eight games in the American Hockey League. It's a trade involving young players who clearly need a change of scenery to aspire to play regularly in the NHL.
