High-quality reinforcement is coming for the Montreal Canadiens: The return of Alex Newhook will be highly appreciated

It's currently a game of musical chairs for the Canadiens, both among forwards, defensemen, and goaltenders. The constant personnel turnover makes it challenging to establish an identity.

Earlier this week, Mitchell Stephens, Joshua Roy, and Justin Barron were part of the lineup. Now, they've all moved to Laval, and Arber Xhekaj and Lucas Condotta are set to play in Thursday's game.

The goaltender rotation seems never-ending. In essence, how can a team grow and build group chemistry when several members of the group are constantly changing?

Fortunately, a regular player is nearing a return to the game. Alex Newhook skated solo for 25 minutes this morning.

Light effort." - Anthony Martineau, TVA Sports

He won't be back this week, but the mere sight of him on the ice is good news. In the last media photo of him, he had a rolling prosthesis from the knee down to ensure no weight on his ankle.

Recall that he's been sidelined due to an ankle sprain. His return is highly anticipated and will significantly aid the Canadiens, who are struggling to find cohesion on the offensive end.
