Plot twist in the trade market: The Washington Capitals have just confirmed that Kuznetsov has expressed his desire to be traded
Surprisingly, Washington Capitals general manager Brian MacLellan has just confirmed some huge news to journalist Mike Vogel. He reportedly stated that star forward Evgeny Kuznetsov has requested a trade and wishes to start the upcoming season with a different team:

According to his information, Matt Duchene nearly joined Alexander Ovechkin with the Capitals, while Evgeny Kuznetsov would have gone the other way.
Although Kuznetsov's offensive production has dipped somewhat in the past year, he remains a sensational playmaker.
