The atmosphere was electric Saturday night at the Bell Centre, but not everyone left with a smile.

The Montreal Canadiens pulled off a 4-3 overtime win against the Ottawa Senators thanks to a goal from Alex Newhook, but it was Drake Batherson's mistake that stole the spotlight... for all the wrong reasons.
On the final play, the Sens forward simply missed his pass, and the puck ended up right on the stick of the young Canadiens player.
A costly error that led to the game-winning goal and clearly, it didn't sit well with Batherson, who still seemed frustrated after the game.

Drake Batherson refuses to face the media after his blunder against the Canadiens

After the game, several journalists, including Julian McKenzie, confirmed that Batherson refused to speak to the media before leaving the locker room without saying a word.
"For those wondering, Drake Batherson declined to speak to the media postgame."

In my opinion, it's rare to see that in the NHL-especially in Montreal, where every second is analyzed.
On social media, some joked that he probably didn't want to talk about his "perfect pass" to Newhook.
Others pointed out the contrast with someone like Samuel Montembeault, for example, who's always willing to face the media no matter how the night goes.
I think this kind of reaction says a lot about a player's character.
Batherson likely had a tough night, but his silence made even more noise than his mistake.

Do you think a player should always face the media, even after a big mistake?
