The CN Sports Complex in Brossard was buzzing this morning with the return to the ice of two key forwards from the Montreal Canadiens: Cole Caufield and Josh Anderson.

Both were among the notable presences at practice, an encouraging sign for the organization at the start of a season where the team's progress will be closely scrutinized.
A rare occurrence for early September: the only regular missing was Nick Suzuki. The captain is currently in Las Vegas for promotional commitments. His absence, although noticeable, is not concerning, and he is expected to rejoin his teammates shortly.
Caufield's return naturally draws attention. After missing a significant portion of last season due to shoulder surgery, the star forward is eager to reconnect with his role as a sniper.
His offensive contribution is crucial for the Canadiens, who are relying on his ability to generate goals quickly and energize the power play. The chemistry between him and Suzuki remains a key element of the team's offensive identity.

Meanwhile, Josh Anderson embodies another essential facet of Montreal's success. His physical power and robust style of play prove invaluable in the playoffs, where space is limited and every battle matters. While some have occasionally questioned the weight of his contract, Anderson has shown that his intensity and ability to elevate his game in the spring more than justify the investment.

Two Key Veterans in the Montreal Canadiens' Success Are Back in Brossard to Prepare for the Official Start of Training Camp

Their simultaneous presence brings a boost of confidence and positive energy to the locker room. For Martin St-Louis, it is an opportunity to reintegrate two pillars of his system and prepare a more complete lineup.
It should also be noted that nearly the entire Canadiens roster was present. As Marc-Olivier Cook points out, all Canadiens players are present except for captain Suzuki. This clearly demonstrates the team's intention to arrive fully ready for the start of the season.
