Journalist Steps In to Defend David Reinbacher After Early Criticism From Fans at Rookie Camp

Journalist Anthony Martineau reminds us that David Reinbacher is not the type of player who will put on a show at a rookie camp, but rather one who aims for stability.
After just one day of camp, people are already saying that David Reinbacher isn't as spectacular as expected or that he isn't stealing the spotlight during practices.
On social media, Anthony Martineau expressed his disagreement.
"I'm reading in some places after just one day (!!!!!) of rookie camp that David Reinbacher got off to a bad (???) start to his season. Seriously?"
He visibly annoyed by such quick conclusions.
David Reinbacher, a defenseman whose strength lies in stability
Martineau then reminded readers in his article that Reinbacher is not the type to rack up highlight-reel plays.
"You won't see a lot of highlights from Reinbacher. But that doesn't mean he's playing badly. It's just not in his DNA. And that's exactly why (stability) the Canadiens drafted him."
In fact, it even seems that rather than disappointing, Reinbacher impressed during this first day.
According to the same source, the Austrian defenseman stood out for his explosiveness and speed.
"I personally found he was one of the most dominant on the ice yesterday. One of the fastest. His explosion was obvious."
In my opinion, judging a player of his caliber after just one session is not only unfair, it's crazy.
Reinbacher is doing exactly what the Canadiens expect of him: building on his strengths and progressing one step at a time.
