Since his arrival in Montreal, forward Kirby Dach hasn't had the success many hoped for and has unfortunately been plagued by injuries. Currently, number 77 is facing criticism from several fans on social media - and for a very specific reason.

At the 2022 NHL Draft in June, GM Kent Hughes acquired Kirby Dach from the Chicago Blackhawks in a three-team trade. In return, the Canadiens sent defenseman Alexander Romanov to the New York Islanders.
At first, this trade looked like a brilliant move by Hughes, but things turned out quite differently.
Out of a possible 246 games, Dach has only played in 117 due to injuries. Since the start of his career, the Fort Saskatchewan native has been hurt often and has missed a lot of hockey, which has undoubtedly affected his development.
A first-round pick, third overall, by the Blackhawks in the 2019 draft, he has yet to find his stride. This coming January, he'll turn 25, and time is starting to run out if he wants to carve out a successful NHL career.
The 6'4", 221-pound center certainly has the physical tools for the job, but his engagement on the ice is often questioned. This young man has loads of talent, but he absolutely needs to find a way to take his game to the next level.

Kirby Dach's Absence in Brossard Sparks Frustration Among Montreal Canadiens Fans

Captain Nick Suzuki is present and looks like a man on a mission. Russian sensation Ivan Demidov continues to impress, while Cole Caufield is also back in Quebec - and Juraj Slafkovsky as well.
Brothers Florian and Arber Xhekaj are on the ice and giving their all. Alex Newhook is taking things seriously, as is new forward Joe Veleno, who is also training on the ice.
However, Kirby Dach's absence is sparking frustration among many fans, and he is currently getting harshly criticized.
Canadiens fans have been calling for him to be present at practice, stating that if there's one player who should absolutely be showing up every day, it's him. What do you think?
