In return, the Montreal organization agreed to send forward Emil Heineman to the New York Islanders along with two first-round picks, which ultimately became Victor Eklund and Kashawn Aitcheson.
That marked yet another trade between Hughes and the Islanders, as both teams were also involved in a three-team deal that previously brought Kirby Dach to Montreal in exchange for Alexander Romanov.
Doug Armstrong and St. Louis Blues Management Still Open to Trading Jordan Kyrou
While the chances of seeing Jordan Kyrou in Montreal had seemed to decrease significantly in recent weeks, there is now an interesting new piece of information regarding the forward.
According to new reports, GM Doug Armstrong is still open to trading his forward and is listening to offers carefully.
Frank Seravalli: "I believe Jordan Kyrou's name remains out there; there are other teams.. that have called to express interest; a lot of teams were hoping..if they could just have a conversation with the kid they could convince him to waive" - Bleacher Report
Nick Kypreos: Re Jordan Kyrou: Armstrong would still like to change over some of this roster; trading away Kyrou would be a difficult move to make; it would only be done if St. Louis got a big return - Sportsnet
If Armstrong truly wants to deal Kyrou, it's almost certain that Kent Hughes is still closely monitoring the situation-and Kyrou is clearly a target for the Canadiens.
