The Director of Hockey Development for the Canadiens, Adam Nicholas, stopped by the team's Twitch channel last Tuesday to answer fan questions and share his opinion on the organization's prospects.
He made a very important revelation about defenseman Lane Hutson, stating that the 19-year-old has extremely special talent."He's simply special. He's one who has speed, acceleration, and explosiveness. [...] Lane is a puck distributor, the puck is going to go through him. He plays this role very well and knows how to navigate from one space to another avoiding checks, and he positions himself in zones where he is a threat at all times." - Adam Nicholas
The Canadiens' second-round pick in 2022 had an exceptional season with Boston University, amassing an impressive total of 48 points in just 39 games.
It's still too early to predict the impact Lane Hutson will have in the NHL in the coming years, but the Tricolore's prospect has extraordinary skills that could make him an excellent offensive defenseman.
