Canadiens Organization Pull Off Second Trade on Friday Overshadowed by Carey Price Deal

The Montreal Canadiens organization pulled off another transaction earlier in the day on Friday that went rather unnoticed.
Although it's more of a depth acquisition-and a player who will likely join the Trois-Rivières Lions after Canadiens training camp-this trade clearly demonstrates the organization's desire to "get bigger."
It's with that in mind that Landon Fuller, a rugged 26-year-old defenseman, joined the Trois-Rivières Lions, the Montreal Canadiens' ECHL affiliate.
A rugged defenseman, yes, but more importantly.. a giant-sized defenseman.
A trade that went unnoticed due to the frenzy surrounding the Carey Price deal
"The Trois-Rivières Lions acquire giant-sized defenseman Landon Fuller in exchange for defenseman Kirby Proctor.
The Lions would like to thank Kirby for his contribution and wish him the best of success with his new team!
Welcome to the team, Landon!"
- Trois-Rivières Lions
This Landon Fuller is a towering 6-foot-5, 234-pound presence who never goes unnoticed when he's on the ice.
He spent the last four seasons at Trinity Western University, where he recorded 18 points (4 goals, 14 assists) in 100 games, before signing his first professional contract with Wichita-a team he ultimately never played for before being traded to the Lions.
With 169 penalty minutes in his collegiate career (remember, fights are rare in university leagues), it's clear Landon Fuller is no soft touch.
He will take part in Canadiens training camp before joining the Lions, who will look to win a second straight Kelly Cup.
Welcome to Trois-Rivières, Landon!
