It's confirmed: five players are leaving the Canadiens
The free agency market will open on July 1st, but although some players are theoretically still under contract, they have signed in Europe and are leaving the Canadiens organization.
Indeed, these are five players who played for the Laval Rocket last season. See the official announcement:
"We wanted to wish good luck to 5 players who will be continuing their careers in Europe!
Good luck Filip in Sweden!
Good luck Nolan in Germany!
Good luck Lias in Switzerland!
Good luck Strauss in Germany!
Good luck Olivier in Germany! - Laval Rocket
Earlier, we mentioned the departure of Lias Andersson who, along with Colin White, forms a duo of former first-round picks leaving the organization.
The big surprise here is Olivier Galipeau, who had a significant role with the Rocket last year.
He accumulated 18 points in 55 games, but he was very reliable in defending his territory.
We wish the best of luck to these 5 players who have decided to take an important turn in their careers.
